Our company has developed steadily over the past few years. The development, manufacture and sale of 3D surface measurement technology now forms our core business. In addition, we offer services in the field of 3D surface measurement. At the same time, we have been able to massively expand our international business in recent years.
Due to the developments mentioned above, we have changed our company name, thereby underlining our focus on surface measurement technology and strong internationalization.

GBS metrology GmbH

GBS, a leading company for optical 3D sensors based on Coherence Scanning (White-Light) Interferometry now offers complete wafer inspection systems, that are configured to operate under clean room conditions. 10GigE cameras and real time evaluation on the latest GPGPUs (General Purpose Graphic Processing Units) with calculation power of approx. 100 Core i9 PCs accelerate the measurement process. As a result, more wafers, more positions per wafer and bigger measurement areas can be scanned compared to alternative sensor systems. The Speedytec® supporting system software fully automatically realises measurement and evaluation processes. Thus, saving both time and money.

In August 2023, GBS mbH started the expansion on Ehrenberg-Ost in Ilmenau. After one million euros was invested in a new company building in 2021, another million euros will be invested in the expansion of the company headquarters in 2023/2024.

SpectroNet invites you to the Collaboration Conference on March 21, 2023 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation IOSB in Karlsruhe and we will present the latest results in the field of 3D surface measurement in a lecture at the conference.

From now on, the 2nd Wednesday in April - and thus for the first time April 14, 2021 - will be celebrated worldwide as World Interferometer Day to commemorate the pioneering birth of the interferometer in general and the Michelson interferometer in particular.
